The East Leppington Precinct is located within the South West Growth Centre and consists of approximately 463 ha of land earmarked for urban residential development, of which 94 ha is located within the Liverpool LGA. The precinct is bounded by Camden Valley Way, Denham Court Road, and the Sydney Water Supply Channel and Council was required to deliver the water management infrastructure for the area to facilitate development of the area.
Work was undertaken closely with Liverpool City Council to undertake Detailed Design of Water Infrastructure in East Leppington at Liverpool. The primary objective of the project was to undertake concept and detailed design of proposed flood mitigation and water quality control structures within the project area.
The structures included flood detention basins, bio-retention basins and channel modification works. Associated investigations In addition to works identified in the WCM strategy, stormwater analysis, concept and detailed design of major trunk drainage system to capture stormwater flows from the developments and discharge into the receiving waterways
